Our perception of the world is tinted by our interpretation and adapts as we do.

Morgan Abenhaim (1989, Toronto, Ontario) is a painter. Intrigued by the power of time, consciousness and how our interpretations shape and tint our realities, as a projection of ourself in the current moment rather than from the perspective of  who we used to be.
Her paintings document and explore the intertwining of internal and external perceptions; specifically within the division between the realms of memory, and the experiences that resonate within us.

By manipulating materials and playing with perspective, the works that Morgan has produced are transient - they distort, fade, and transform. As part of her investigation narrowing in on the duality that develops through our recollection of experience, over time, her work will never quite appear in the same light it was initially seen.
